You may feel an initial sting, but only for a moment. Your physician may apply a local anaesthetic to numb the area prior to the procedure.

You will notice visible results immediately after your initial injectible treatment.
Are there side effects to the treatment?
Directly after the treatment, it’s completely normal to experience some minor and temporary effects such as stinging, discolouration, bruising, mild to moderate redness, and swelling. Most people find that they can return to work or go about their normal daily activities immediately after treatment. If any bruising occurs, this can be covered with makeup. To avoid other potential side effects, such as bacterial infection and lumps forming under the skin, make sure you have an experienced and knowledgeable injector who provides you with pre and post care instructions.

Can I be treated with dermal filler if my doctor also treats me with other treatments or injections?
It is possible to combine ther cosmetic procedures with filler for an all-over smoothing of wrinkles and restoration of lost volume. For example, Botox® cosmetic treatments can be used on forehead wrinkles, while dermal filler may be better used to treat lines around the mouth. Certain procedures such as laser may need to be done at a different time depending on the area(s) treated.
How long will a filler treatment last?
Follow-up treatments are usually required to maintain the effect but most collagen fillers can last six to twelve months. Everyone’s skin is different; the timing of additional wrinkle treatment will vary from person to person. Sometimes when repeat treatments are maintained, either the interval between appointments becomes longer, or less product is required to achieve the same results.
